Juten Tach,

now, that this flash / iphone thing is closed, Adobe, can you please make sure, that Flash Player 10.1 on Android will be nothing else but mind-blowing? You know, not like “it works OK”, but more like “wtf, is this flash? you’re kidding. this is flash? Can’t believe it, this is sooo fast!”. It doesn’t matter matter, if it takes another month, but please get this right.

I just hope the reality and people’s expectations line up. It seems like a no-brainer that we’ll have to do quite a bit of tweaking and optimizing to get certain apps/games to run on a mobile device…heck, my desktop has trouble with some of them. I went to a Flash Camp DC last week and heard a great talk about Greenthreading in Flash…essentially how to make sure the Flash Player doesn’t get so bogged down with computations that it shutters and crashes. The talk, which was excellent by the way, had nothing to do with mobile…all about desktops and laptops. Let’s not hype this up past what Adobe can deliver.

This is actually a brillant comment! And also, let’s make sure it works the same on all platforms like before…

OK, perhaps i have exaggerated a bit. The point i am trying to make is, Adobe is trying to get a foot into the mobile space for some time now with medium success. I don’t expect Flash to run as fast as native apps run, but Adobe has to show off something outstanding here to convince people, that Flash is the right platform for mobile. I think, currently, people have rather mixed feelings about that.

    Does that sound better?!
